Back with another epic product in my new series-Beauty News & Reviews! I am pumped to share the magic that is the IL Makiage Foundation. The long name is IL Makiage Woke Up Like This Flawless Base foundation and it really is magic!
My Thoughts
Based on the fact that I call it magic, you can probably guess that I really love this foundation. And if you guessed that, you would be 100% accurate. I adore this foundation because just as the name suggests, it is flawless. With color-matching technology that walks you through a series of questions in order to identify the best shade, IL Makiage makes sure that you get the foundation perfect for you. I actually took the quiz twice over 8 months apart and it matched me with the exact same shade. And given that there are tons of shade options (like over 50 or so), I was definitely impressed with that. I was also impressed with how well that shade worked for me. It was like it was made just for me to match my skin tone so well.
In addition to being a perfect skin tone match, this foundation is light, conceals, goes on smoothly, and stays on all day. Now if that isn’t IL Makiage Foundation magic then I don’t know what is!
Recommendations
Here are a few things I have learned by using this fabulous foundation for over the past year and a half.
- Use it with a primer for even better results
- Let it soak into the skin for 5ish minutes before trying to apply more or adding other products on top
- Get a good brush to apply it with
- Apply evenly all over the face and neck
- For the best results, use a setting spray
- Make sure to use makeup-removing wipes to remove it at the end of the day
- Get out every last drop by removing the pump and scraping out the remaining product when running low (the pump won’t be able to get out the last of the bottle)
